Lesson Introduction: Spell Words with Base Elements – form, rupt

Today we will learn how to spell and understand words built from the base elements form and rupt.

The base form means shape or to make.
The base rupt means to break or burst.

When we know the meaning of these bases, we can figure out the meaning of many new words. For example:

Transform = to change shape.
Disrupt = to break apart or interrupt.

By learning these word parts, spelling becomes easier and we can also understand new vocabulary when we see it.
