Writing Assignment: A Day in the Life of My Future Self

Objective:
To encourage creative thinking, self-reflection, and the use of descriptive language by imagining life in the future.

Instructions:

1. Imagine it's the year 2040 and you are 25 years old. What does your life look like? Where do you live? What job do you have? What do you do in a day?

2. Write a 1–2 paragraph story about “A Day in the Life of Future Me.” Be sure to include:

   • Where you live

   • What kind of job or career you have

   • What fun or helpful things you do in your day

   • How your day begins and ends

3. Use ChatGPT to help you brainstorm ideas if you get stuck or need help with vocabulary. You can ask things like:

   • “What jobs will exist in the future?”

   • “Give me ideas for cool futuristic places to live.”

   • “Can you check my paragraph for grammar?”

4. Be creative and have fun—this is your future!
