Relationship between place values
Place value tells us the value of each digit based on its position in a number.
Example:
In 345
3 is in the hundreds place = 300
4 is in the tens place = 40
5 is in the ones place = 5
π Relationship Between Place Values
Each place value is 10 times bigger than the place to its right π
Ones β Tens β Hundreds β Thousands
π‘ This means:
10 ones = 1 ten
10 tens = 1 hundred
10 hundreds = 1 thousand
