Lesson Intro: Using the Perfect Verb Tenses

Today we will learn about perfect verb tenses. Perfect verb tenses show that an action was completed at a certain time in the past, present, or future. They help us explain when something happened in relation to another action or point in time. The three perfect verb tenses are past perfect, present perfect, and future perfect. By learning how to use them, you will be able to make your sentences clearer and more precise.

Examples:

  • Present perfect: She has finished her homework.

  • Past perfect: She had finished her homework before dinner.

  • Future perfect: She will have finished her homework by 8:00 PM.

By the end of the lesson, you will be able to identify and use perfect verb tenses correctly in sentences.
